| Barry's Retro Fans Unlimited is proud to be an officially sanctioned BMIFC (Barry Manilow International Fan Club) local fan club. We have been a club since March 2002, and have been official since January 2003. Our club is proud to support the efforts of "DESERT PAWS". Desert Paws is an animal welfare organization whose goal is to "MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF ANIMALS IN NEED" in the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley area of California. We are proud to say that since 2002 we have donated LITERALLY THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of Dollars to their efforts. Not to mention raising awareness! And keeping the "fur babies" in the Valley warm by sending HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of hand crochets blankets a year. Also, keeping them fed by sending pet food coupons and pet food samples that are distributed to local area shelters to use as they deem appropriate. In addition to supporting the following: AIDS WALK NEW YORK MANILOW MUSIC PROJECT Our motto comes from Barry himself "Misfits aren't misfits around other misfits". Retro Fans (as we like to call ourselves), is unique. We are unique in the fact that we don't charge a "membership fee", to belong to our club, whereas other local fan clubs do ($10-20 per year) as well as the BMIFC ($10.00 per year). THAT'S RIGHT - FREE!!! All the "operating costs" (website, membership kits, newsletters etc.) of Retro Fans are absorbed by the director and the co-moderators of the club. The information is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week right at your fingertips. We pass along all information about Barry that we find. Because of the size of our membership we are able to celebrate birthdays with our members. Everyone gets a birthday shout out. EVEN BARRY! If we do special projects we invite everyone to join in (such as our fund raising efforts with T-Shirts, Cookbooks, Calendars, etc). We welcome member interaction. Barry has the music and we have the passion! In order to protect our membership from those who would choose to do harm, (trolls, spammers, net-pornographers, etc.), we have closed our membership to the general public. We still welcome new members to our club. However the following is required by everyone who chooses to belong: 1.
